Stephen Spendley
Managing Director
An established recruitment consultant, Stephen has over seven years’ experience as a specialist within the construction market.
Driven by a passion for the highest standards, Stephen began his recruitment journey with Vanguard Site Services as a trainee consultant. He quickly progressed to new business manager having demonstrated his strong grasp of the diverse array of client requirements and how best to support these.
Joining Coyle Personnel as a Senior Consultant in 2019, Stephen was given the opportunity to build his own team and expand the business into Scotland. His resourceful and committed approach saw him achieve above target expectations in his first year, leading to formal recognition as best new consultant across all 12 offices and onwards to top performer within the region during his three years with the business.
Keen to take on a new challenge, in 2022 he became a founding Director of GS3, a dynamic resourcing business created to address the challenges and opportunities of the modern recruitment landscape. Combining both recruitment and contractor experience, GS3 specialises in making both the client and candidates journey as effortless as possible by promising honesty and transparency to enable the growth of long term, trusted relationships.
As a Director, Stephen is responsible for growing and establishing GS3, and is focused on growing a strong market reputation with existing and potential clients to ensure that candidates secure the right opportunities within the construction industry. Alongside this, Stephen is involved in the development and mentoring of trainee and recruitment consultants allowing them to thrive within GS3.

With a diverse and varied career, Nicola found her love for construction recruitment following a two year trip around the world. Now with over six years’ experience in sector, she has gained a strong level of detailed understanding and experience across the full spectrum of operational and client servicing elements within the world of recruitment.
Joining GS3 in 2024 as Regional Director, Nicola is responsible for driving business growth, specifically in (North West England) through new client acquisition and the expansion of specialist resource. As part of this, Nicola will be focused heavily on partnering with key subcontractors on site.
A loyal, resilient and focused professional Nicola consistently demonstrates a considered and robust approach to her work.
Away from work Nicola’s passion is Formula One, where she enjoys the thrill of the live races alongside eating out and travel.

Over 10 years’ experience in the recruitment industry, Marti has acquired an extensive understanding of the needs of clients and candidates to ensure the optimal solution for all. Over the past eight years, Marti has developed a strong specialism in construction which delivers consistent expertise across the GS3 client and candidate base.
Joining the team as a Senior Recruitment Consultant for GS3 in 2023, Marti is responsible for business development with new and current clients alongside focusing on the delivery of an expert service across a diverse range of construction roles.
An honest, considered and calm team player, Marti brings a diligent and dependable approach to his work.
Away from work, Marti enjoys keeping active by playing football and lifting weights.

Linzi Wilson
Finance Manager
With an HNC in Accounting and Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) level 8, Linzi has worked across a range of sectors including retail, not for profit and construction in all aspects finance and payroll. Joining the Linear Group in 2017, she was an integral member of the finance team.
Linzi joined recruitment specialist GS3 after 7 years in her previous role, to establish the company’s financial processes. In this role, she oversees daily transactions, monthly accounts and reviews quarterly budgets.
An organised and reliable professional, Linzi shows a consistently determined approach to ensure the optimal solutions to the benefit of the team and the business. .
Away from work, Linzi enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as holidays in the sun. She stays active with regular Pilates and fitness classes.

Business Support Co-Ordinator
As Business Support Coordinator at GS3, Lorraine is responsible for a range of pivotal support activities including administrative support, marketing and business development. Lorraine is the driving force of GS3 Recruitments marketing efforts and oversees the creation of content for the website, events, PR and internal communications.
She works closely with the heads of the businesses to ensure regular exposure of key developments and achievements. A diligent and dedicated team player, Lorraine is always on hand to provide support to colleagues, adding real value to ensure the optimal delivery of key projects.

With over 15 years’ experience of health and safety support across a number of sectors including manufacturing, engineering, and construction, Garry provides essential input and insight to the team at GS3.
With a strong practical background alongside training in NEBOSH and IOSH, Garry ensures that GS3 adheres to all key aspects of H&S management and the team are well versed in this specialist area.
Authentic and driven, Garry is a valuable asset to the team and always delivers with unwavering commitment and a conscientious approach.

Callum Laird
Finance Assistant
Following a diverse career spanning retail and hospitality, Callum decided to explore a new direction. Taking on an HNC in Accountancy, he began working for Linear Group at the end of his first year, and then on completion, he embarked on a new career in finance with the company.
In 2024, Callum moved to recruitment specialists GS3 to take up the role of Finance Assistant. In this role he is responsible for credit control, invoicing and account payments and supports the growth of the business into new cities.
Hardworking and diligent, Callum has a patient and considered approach to his work ensuring he adds value to the team across key business areas.
Callum is a keen golfer, enjoys hillwalking with his dog and recently took up running.
